Sardine rolls (resepi dari http://kakteh.blogspot.com/2005/05/sardine-rolls.html)
For the pastry (pls do not use bread)
250grm butter (NOT margarine)
500 grm plain flour
a pinch of salt
cold water
Use rubbing in method to mix flour and butter until they become like bread crumbs. Add the salt and pour in the cold water and knead it into a dough. Leave the dough under damp cloth.
For the filling
1 tin of pilchard in tomato sauce
chopped onions
one chilli – chopped as well
a squeeze of lemon
a pinch of salt
Mash the pilchard in tomato and add the chilli and onions and salt and a squeeze of the lemon.
Roll out the dough and cut out into rectangles. Put the filling and roll.Do little cuts on the rolls before brushing egg yolk on top. Bake for about 40 mins.

Bahan-bahan :
1 biji kentang saiz sederhana
5 g yis kering
1/3 cawan minyak masak
1/3 cawan air suam
1/4 tin susu pekat
1 sudu besar gula
1 sudu teh garam
500g tepung gandum
Kaedah penyediaan :
1. Rebus kentang dan kemudian kisarkan dengan 1 cawan air suam.
2. Satukan yis, gula, air suam, minyak masak, susu, garam dan kentang kisar.
3. Masukkan sedikit tepung dan kacau dengan hujung jari.
4. Masukkan baki tepung, sedikit demi sedikit hingga mendapat doh yang lembut. (Nota : Lebih lembut doh, lebih lembut donatnya)
5. Ambil sedikit doh dan bulat-bulatkan. Susun di dalam dulang dan biarkan naik dua kali saiz asal.
6. Panaskan minyak. Buatkan lubang di tengah bebola tadi dan goreng hingga kuning keemasan.
7. Salut dengan gula kastor dan sedia dihidangkan.
